Consultation for problem-solving or goal achievement
A process of collaborative work and problem-solving to support you in developing an action plan for the pursuit of a desired outcome or outcomes. This could be about a child or a systemic issue in a school. If the work is about a child, this may involve assessment and/or observation as part of the process (determined according to the needs of the specific situation).
We will bring the key stakeholders together and facilitate a collaborative problem-solving process that draws on the knowledge and experience of those present, so that everyone is clear about the rationale for the plan and who is going to do what. In our experience, this makes change more likely. |
"The format of meetings is always clear so it is easy to make arrangements with parents and teachers alike. There is the opportunity for all to contribute to ensure we are all working together along the right path. There is also understanding of the pressures that teachers and schools are under when recommending next steps. APS is a good team. I would be happy to work with any of you." - Primary School Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator.
"APS have worked with us since September 2013. They work with our Inclusion teams, SENCos and families, providing high-quality advice and guidance. They have extensive knowledge of Special Educational Needs and a thorough understanding of the Code of Practice. SENCos value their relationship with APS because they know their work will always be of the highest standard. I highly recommend APS because they listen to all parties: the school, the children, and their families. They put the child at the centre of all they do, whilst supporting schools in a professional yet caring way." - Executive Principal of a Multi-Academy Trust.
