Introduction
Welcome to the new home of Psychology for Positive Change, a blog about how psychology can make a positive difference to lives/society. This article is a short update about a change to our company name.
Background
The name ‘Adams Psychology Services’ was only ever intended as a ‘placeholder’ name. While it was a name that worked well when it was just me on my bike, once we became established as a larger team it was something that I wanted to change; so, two years ago, we started a process of considering different alternatives and consulting with our regular clients about our plans. We’ve now arrived at our new name – Aspen Psychology Services.
Why 'Aspen Psychology Services'?
We have chosen the name ‘Aspen Psychology Services’ because:
- It will enable us to remain as APS, but with the ‘A’ standing for ‘Aspen’ rather than ‘Adams’.
- It means our logo and branding can remain close-to-identical.
- Because aspens are associated with a number of qualities that we would like our clients to experience through/from our work together. This short two-minute film elaborates on what those are (sound on!):
Thank-you
Thank-you to all of those people who over the last seven years have either made use of our services or have read and/or commented on/about APS articles or resources.
We look forward to the new chapter this represents.
